Good day, lucky, haus!

75 yo male, came for a new denture because the previous denture no longer can be used.
He brought also the previous denture..bukan satu, tp dua! how cute! eheh..
Tengok previous denture dia, doc kate memang need a new one. Sebab acrylic dah haus, mayb the patient use sandpaper to make the denture fit his mouth. The sulcus juga dah rendah sangat, cannot gain retention anymore i think. Really need new denture.So there goes..me the dentist.

This patient is super co-operative, mayb bcoz he had experiences before. dah 2 denture dia, memang dah biasa da tu.

The first thing, extraoral examination. Oh my, lambat betulla student 4th y ni buat, almost 1 hour ok untuk Hx + EO + IO examination! Ye la, 1st patient, what can i do? kalau cepat-cepat kang salah. Dengan masalah lupa la, kalimaat arab yang ciput je dalam kepala, dengan students lain ada kat tepi, ada sedikit nervous la juga. Students kt tepi semua helpful. thanx~

lepas exmntn, case presentation to doc. okay la. Then doc terangkan banyak juga, hopefully masuk telinga kanan and stay kt otak. Doc terlalu professional utk saye yg tgh 1st experience cmpur otak tgh ligat ingat balik apa yg dah blaja. Terlalu banyak untuk didengar at one time. Tapi insyaAllah ingat la juga.

Try out the trays, dan senangnya la nk dapat yang the best fit him.

Next is taking the lower impression. Use unperforated tray becoz im using compound material. As for alginate, we need perforated tray for retention. I used compound material as the patient is edentulous, and there's no undercut. Need very hot water, prepared by the helpful assistant, rendam compound plate dlm tu sampai lembut boleh main2 buat doh, gulung jadi panjang then letak the smooth surface at outside, of the tray. The assistant did almost all the procedures for me, mungkin sebab saya yang suruh and nampak cam taktau sangat. uhu..cuak sebenarnya.dan taknak buat silap.

The lower impression banyak silap. Ada pessure point, thats why ptn complaint sakit masa impression taking, rupanya tray kena sulcus dia. ouch, sorry ammu. Pastu impression tak sampai RMP. Kena tambah utility wax, then take impression again kat tempat tu.

Next, Upper. just okay. Alhamdulillah. No gag reflex, thanx dear patient.

syukran ammu 4 ur co-operation! and thanx to assistant ku yang cekap serta dalya the translator. Dan instructor serta doc baik dan kawan-kawan yang lain.

next task - khatam balik lectures complete denture mase sem1 thn lepas.
